I feel like I'm just puking history back up after paraphrasing from the wiki and I don't feel that it shows a true understanding of the character. There are so many contradictions in histories within the T.V. show, and there is nothing given except the "Cobra La" history that I refuse to acknowledge as it goes directly against pre-established physical traits shown earlier in the series.

Please to be giving feedback? It's BADLY IN NEED OF EDITS )

Went to see Coraline the other day, fully decked out in my Coraline shirt and The Other Mother Scarf. I also brough along Coraline Herself.

It was the middle of the day so there were very few people in the theatre [perhaps about 20?] but there was a family in front of us and true Gaiman fans behind us so I got to listen to reactions from two ends of the spectrum, adults and kids.

Mo's Review )

I have a lot of links to catch up on for the film. I'll post them here as time allows.

I meant to make build up posts with lots of links to lots of fun things about Coraline, but I've spent the past few days trying to keep myself sane so it sort of didn't happen.

The film premiers today in the US for limited release and with any luck I will be going to see it very soon.

Expect a longer post later with a slew of links to reviews and the like!

Working on finishing another scarf. As long as I can keep my hands busy and my head numb I should be just fine. Only 6 days to finish it in time for the film.

I just finished the scarf based on Coraline's PJs and Other Bedroom.

The scarf is orange to represent her PJs and decorated with Pink Star Shaped Buttons and Lime Green Buttons because Coraline's "Other Bedroom" is done up in peculiar shades of pink and green. It is fringed with little puff balls. :D

Also and amusing interview with a Puppeteer from LIAKA.

I especially like his answer to the first question.

For music nuts like me Coraline Music Preview @ Amazon!

It sounds like a great soundtrack. And I'm sorry but YAY for it not being by Danny Elfman. I like to hear different things. Though Elfman's soundtrack work for Hellboy II:The Golden Army superb.

Soundtracks are my CRACK.

I can't believe I have to wait for Feb.24th for this one. This makes me sad. Until then Im sure I'll be hitting this Amazon site every day. Because I'm a freak.

My favorite song is "Exploration" I recommend that one over everything else. It's beautiful and ethereal and innocent. I could have a whole CD of that.

I dont know how many of you are Gaiman fans. I imagine quite a few of you are. In any event. Here are some links for the up and coming stop motion film adaptation of Coraline, which is by and large one of Neil's best books. Not that all of Neil's books aren't awesome, but this one stands out as one of my favorites.

Also of note. Everything you see in the pictures, trailers, and other promos is made by hand. Everything. There has been minimal digital editing to remove the facial lines on the puppets, but other than that things remain unchanged. The director is the same one who did Nightmare Before Christmas.

So, without further ado:

LA Times set visit

Neil's Post about his Coraline Mystery Box as well as detailed pictures of an articulated Coraline puppet

A site keeping track of The Coraline Mystery Boxes, each of which contains something different.

The Needle Hands Sewing Kit. Suffice to say I want one.

The Official Movie Site.

Enjoy.

Because of my awesome, sexy girlfriend, I, Mo, the amazingly grateful (to my wonderful girlfriend, hoocha hoocha) I found this video. Enjoy.

I'm off to kiss my girlfriend vigorously, because she is The Awsometastically Awesome. Gosh, but have I told you, the internet crowd, how wonderful she is? I mean, really. Really.

Which of the Thirteen Division Captains (from Bleach) are you?
created with QuizFarm.com
You scored as Ichimaru Gin

You're Ichimaru Gin, Captain of the Third Division! There's something that twists the insides of people when you smile in that certain, creepy way. You also might have a few people that you get to do your 'dirty work' for you. After all, it's easier to look uninvolved and keep your hands clean while you pull strings behind the scenes!
